i thank my guest bloggers for erm.keeping my blog updated while i've been busy.
so wow.today school ended at a record 8.30 because of in conversation.
in which we didn't really pay attention because it simply didn't really relate to the topic (singapore, and air-con nation) but rather free speech and democracy and government suppression.
and i bet we had to do a reflection on it.
and we DO have a reflection on it.
i'm quite accurate at my predictions.
anw, my parents picked me up.
a conversation between me and my parents.
me: pa, i need to get my camera changed because the battery is loose. when i put it down on the table the battery comes loose and i can't switch it on again until i press it in properly.
dad: go and change it yourself. so big alrdy why can't you do it yourself huh. you know where the shop is go bring the warranty there and do la!
me: i end at 6.30 on 3 days leh. the other days got tuition HOW TO GO?!
dad: find a way u're old enough u should know how to manage your own time.
-at this point in time i'm quite shocked at the remarkable unreasonableness-
me: why can't u just helped me out i have NO time at all?no time how to manage time?
mom: you think u're the only one who's very busy is it?
me: YEAH.(ok abit self centred la but hey,i was getting pissed off because i'm speaking logic.) WHO goes to school at 6 in the morning and comes back at 7.30 at night? even working hours also not so long lo.
dad and mom: that's what you think...(YEAH I THINK.IT'S TRUE WHAT.if you have no overtime)
me: protests.
dad: you have your weekends and all you can go then what.
mom: if you don't want to go exchange the cam yourself then just don't use la!
me: then buy the camera for what...
mom: these luxuries are just extras in your life, just like your club membership and we're considering stopping that cos u don't swim.
-THIS is getting really unreasonable. don't want to change then don't use?! what kind of logic is that?! like, seriously! -
me: do i look like i have a choice i end at 6.30PM.
mom: then tell the school to do smthng about that la!tell them you have trng to attend!
(i wanted to tell her you think so easy is it. if the school accomodates there's no way they can fit everyone into that schedule right? srsly la, put yourself into their shoes they cannot possibly accomodate everyone we have to compromise abit.)
at this point they criticise the new time table criticise criticise.
i, have no energy (after being at school, tuition, town, back to school till 8.30), and can't be bothered to argue anymore.
firstly, my parents have a fossil-fuel powered vehicle, also known as a car, which enables a person to cut down on excessive travelling time. by excessive, i mean more than half an hour, and travelling on foot.
secondly, they aren't exactly the busiest people in the world as far as i can see.
i mean, they actually have TV time! which i don't. (come to think of it i kinda miss it...but that's a different topic)
thirdly, i think that the battery being loose is part of the structure of the camera. so all the camera's manufactured would eventually end up like that. so if i need to get a new model, i wouldn't be able to. because i have no cash no card. make sense?
forthly, swimming. i want to swim! it's not like i don't want to swim, i enjoy it, i enjoy being at the club. it's that i don't have the luxury of time nor energy. i can go on thursdays saturdays and sundays. fridays if the school allows us to leave early. but then, my work has to take priority right?
then i brought up allowance because i srsly only have like, 20bucks left in my wallet.
and once i pay 15bucks for my bio course, i'll have 5.
and there's recess, lunch and snacks to sustain till 6.30 to pay for.
my parents said, write out a budget.
write down what you need to buy.
i'm not saying that's unreasonable but cmon!
my allowance is not alot, i can't even spend excessively, it's barely enough for me to buy food let alone other things.
and now there's 5 days to have to buy about 3 meals instead of 1.
that increase is NECESSARY and it needs to be quite a bit!
damned parents.
i think they're both menopausing.
they're around the age.
and don't think guys don't menopause we learnt in med bio they do.
but it's not really proven proven and some guys dont' go through it.
i think my dad is going through it.
and so is my mom, so they happily back each other up and gang up against me.
at a time where they're not going to see alot of me shouldn't they be nicer to me?
right right?
i mean, they're gonna miss seeing me and all right right?
after all when i come home at 7.30 they're at my sisters' trng, then i go my room do work then they come back and go up to their rooms.
at this rate we can go for days not seeing each other.
so should be nicer to each other right?then we can ALl live happily.
i think i have very good logic, no?
my sister patted me on the back at one point of time during our argument.
see even a PRIMARY FIVE knows unreasonableness when she sees it.
menopause.RAH.
ok i need to go draft my budget/allowance
then i need to SLEEP.
this is the beginning of my nerd life.
i will
1. start wearing specs. better still if they're big and plastic.
2. tighten my belt.
3. stop folding my sleeves
4. wear calve high socks, one high one low
5. wear my shoes like sandles/slippers by standing on the back
6. carry those "good-posture" hard bags, better still if they have a stupid thing like erm. robobox! as a design
7. carry it high so i can use it as a head rest as well
8. carry a sling water bottle that i can sling across my body
9. carry an extra bag for all my extra nerd books i will bring to school. so that i will have 4 straps across my body
10. too much alrdy la i buay tahan.
11. oh ya, cannot go out. oh wait, this is not a i will, this is a fact now.
the beginning of a sad, sad end.
