richard lost swim carn.
our winning streak vanished.
just like that.
in a blink of an eye.
well not really it was more like 2 days.
but the feeling is intense.
it's not as if i'm a big house person,
but richard reigns for swim carn.
so much that it has been a FACT for more than the 4 years i've been at rg.
i say swim carn you think richard.
and now it's gone.
true we used to have the unfair advantage
because all the swimmers transferred to richard
but have richardsonians taken our reign for granted?
have they forgotten that OUR sec 4 year was the last year we could transfer?
and that OUR year was the year with the least swimmers?
and only 3 of us transferred?
so much has been taken for granted here.
not only by richardsonians, but by the teachers.
events that richard actually won,like interhouse water bball,
they lowered the pointage.
it's as low as a normal event.one that takes a minute to swim.
compare that to the time taken for the bball.
more than an hour i bet.
such biasness against us.
they dumped the best sec 1 swimmers in tarbet and buckle,
happily forgetting about richard.
it's not fair that all the DSA people are in one class,
and that ALL of them are in one house.
our house system should be split equally.
not by class.there's just no spirit.
i can't help thinking that if nobody hated richard for ruling the pool,
and didn't stop us for mass swim
(they bloody stopped us from swimming because the sec ones were at the other end of the pool)
and the swimmers were split equally all round
with enthu sec ones like those from tarbet
whom all swam the 25m races,
we might still have that fighting chance.
think of last year.
ALL the other houses ganged up against richard to cheer.
they may have disliked us for winning every year
but hey,it was good.
this year nobody ganged up against us.
but we lost.to tarbet.
by quite alot if i'm not wrong.
too much has been taken for granted.
if we want it, then we'll have to work for it.
it's just sad that we lost the streak in our time.
in our very last year.
to all richardsonians out there,
though i may not be part of the house com,
though i'm not a hardcore richardsonian,
we did win overall champs last year,
and really,we don't want to lose it this year.
richard has a long history of being champs,
(believe it.my AUNTIE told me)
don't let it be wasted on you.
school spirit is one thing.
if you don't want to sing the school song,
that's fine by me.i don't sing it either.
but take pride in your house,
we lost swim carn this year,and we lost it hard.
win it for us next year.
and keep it there.
keep the richard water spirit burning.
